The financial foundation that supports the Friendship Village at Home Program is the Coventry
CareLink Long-Term Care Insurance Plan Designed by
Coventry Resources, a developer of continuing care campuses, home-based care programs
and long-term care insurance since 1985, the Plan is the first in the nation to combine the
financial security of insurance with the proven expertise of successful care providers to create
a new type of care-at-home program. Since 1997, Coventry CareLink has invested millions of
dollars and enlisted the counsel and expertise of such highly regarded senior health experts
as Johns Hopkins Geriatrics and Connecticut Community Care's Case Management Institute
to design components of the Friendship Village at Home Program.
As the insurance component of the Friendship Village at Home Program, The Coventry CareLink Plan
provides the funding to help Friendship Village Neighborhood
Services create Member Wellness Profiles
and develop the provider networks for Wellness, HomeWorks, and Long-Term Care Services.
